Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

Hi, thanks for you contact. The monitor has only display functions. Generally, after connecting your computer, if your computer has been working, the monitor will also be working. It is recommended that you RESET the monitor in the OSD menu. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact our email (support@newsoul.store). At your service anytime.

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

Hi Mstock, thanks for contacting us! Please kindly use the touch cable connect the monitor to your PC directly, in that way the touch function will work. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you still have problems.

Does this work with DeX, specifically the touch interface?

This is not a touch screen monitor

does it support pressure level sensing stylus pen? please help.. if it does, which pen is compatibie?

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What is the environment temperature rating for this product?

Hello, thanks for your question. Generally, operating temperature of the monitor is: 0 ~ 50 °C; the storage temperature is: -20 ~ 60 °C. If you have any other questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

Matte (anti-glare) or glossy (glare) screen?

Hello, thanks for your question. The touchscreen portable monitor 15.6" is glossy screen. Adjust the color temperature to 6500 in the OSD menu, and the screen can be anti-glare. If you have any questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

What cable is required to power this monitor from a usb-c?

Hello, thanks for your question. Sorry, you cannot use the computer's USB C port to power the monitor. The 15.6" touch monitor does not have a USB A/C port. But we have specially equipped it with an AC/DC power adapter. If you lose or damage the power adapter, please contact our by email (support@newsoul.store), and send your order number, then we will send you a replacement.

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

I wanted to have a smaller work station at my dining room table so I can easily pack it up at the end of the day, so I bought this portable monitor, along with a keyboard and mouse and and stands for my monitor and laptop - all from Amazon.I don’t consider myself tech savvy, and I got it all out of the boxes and set up with my HP Elitebook in about 10-15 minutes. The monitor alone took a couple minutes. So easy. The monitor, is thin, light, great size and has a nice carrying case for travel. The color resolution is not the best, but good enough for my purposes. Speakers are nice if you need them.

Pros:perfect size for portability without being to small.Comes with cords to connect several different types of devicesSeems pretty tough.Cons:Needs more selection of port types this only has 2 usb c and one mini hd slot (needs some older connection ports as well like hdmi and maybe usb 3.0. This change Would make it where I don’t have to change out my cord arsenal, or buy another adapter, just to use the thing.Screen cover/protector/case is pointless. And the instructions on how to use it are poorly written.Update: after a little further testing of this product I found it to have exceptional sound quality and it even has a built in kickstand for horizontal orientation. Furthermore, it also includes a cable adapter from hdmi to mini hd.Overall, great device and I would recommend it to a friend.

I travel a lot for both work and leisure, and also work remote from both my own home and from my family's home so I've always used various travel monitors. Travel monitors over the years have gotten so much better and cheaper (started with a Lenovo 720p 14" over a decade ago), and I regularly kept upgrading since they're so handy to have. My last travel monitor (an Asus) broke due to my clumsiness so I was in the market for a new one. I was just going to buy another Asus when I noticed they have 17.3" travel monitor... which was extremely expensive because it was a ROG series gaming monitor (240hz, 3ms, other fancy features). I mainly just wanted something for work but the idea of having such a nice, large display for a travel monitor was temping. I almost pulled the trigger when I noticed a lot of off-brand 17.3" travel monitors which were plenty for what I needed (17.3" and 1080p) and I ultimately settled on this one.Initially, I was kind of surprised that there's no brand logo on it (and only noticed after received it that the stock pictures are the same- no brand logo) but honestly, I find that a plus because it's a sleek and clean design. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it immediately AFTER I used the right cable (there is both a USB C power/video cable and then a USB C power only cable) and into the right slow (again, there's a slot just for power and a slot for power/video input). My work laptop (Lenovo T480s) kept disconnecting it every now and then for a few seconds before reconnecting- I wasn't sure why but after I plugged in the additional cable for power, it stopped disconnecting. I figure it was my work laptop could not sufficiency power it so to test the theory, I tried it with my personal laptop (Lenovo Legion 6 Gen 5) and it worked fine with just the single video/power cable; I did not need the additional power cable. Overall, I'm very happy with the monitor for work. Visually, productivity software looks nice and clean on it, and playing some HD video, it was smooth, bright and with vibrant colors.I did not try it with anything else (HDMI) or try the other ports (micro-USB/headphone jack). It does have built in speakers, which is nice and they work decently well but aren't super loud.Just for fun, I had my Switch near by and decided to see if I could just plug the USB C cable to my Nintendo Switch and... nothing. So I plugged in the power cable and it worked! What a nice surprise, you can use this to play the Switch, just like you would a regular docked TV, as long as you can also feed it from a power supply. Metroid Dread looked and sounded good, I didn't notice any input lag or anything. Not sure if it works with all Switch models but I have the OLED model, I imagine it would work with the standard Switch too since the OLED Switch works with the standard Switch dock (Lite users are SOL). Bonus note: it even worked when I used my Anker battery bank to power it!Also included was a USB wall plug and a fold-around case, which doubled as the stand. The case/stand doesn't seem like it's going to be super protective nor does it really function as a great stand (can't angle it to anything other than the standard 45-degree angle). The case stand is probably my only knock on the product. It is VESA compatible too, which seems kind of pointless for a travel monitor but... yeah.

The monitor has been great to use whether I am at a coffee shop needing a second screen. It’s great when I’m at work, but I want to go outside and work. It’s very easy to use, and the brand gives you plenty of cables to use. Highly recommend!

This 16" 2K Monitor is a great value and is feature rich. It includes a very versatile leatherette magnetic desktop case, east to use controls and a high quality image. A single toggle on the side gets you to all menu features and setting menus, very intuitive and fast settings.I like how light this is and how easily it is to connect. All the cables needed are included and the instructions do a good job outlining the settings and adjustments.Includes a nice 100mm VESA mounting holes on the back to allow any VESA bracket to be used.THe screen is bright, clear and has very good resolution. If there was a 6 star review I would rate it there.

Meets all expectations. Lightweight but strong enoungh to be thrown into the sleeve in the backpack (along with its protective case). I turned up the brightness and all is very sharp and crisp. not lag.Am using just the single usb -c cable to connect. Power, Signal, and even Touch all on the one cable.I was worried Id need to use the deticated power cable as for other items such as small usb 'optionally/non powered/powered' usb home docking station I have .. the computer battery will slowly drain. but with this screen. after 2 hours and both screens turned up bright computer battery is at 100%.So far really happy with the purchase. arrived fast I will be a great asset when on the road or working at co-op desks.

Scored this monitor for $139.99 after $20 coupon at checkout. Can't beat what you get for the price. It's an upgrade from my previous FHD 15.6" with modestly better specs but overall, more than a modest upgrade when I switched out monitors and put it through its paces. Nice picture quality at 500 nits and easy on the eyes. Decent build quality and feel. USB-C/USB-C works like a charm off a single cable for power and video. No issues with HDMI/HDMI connections from laptop or using Lightning adapter from iPhone--just need to power the monitor separately. Dial wheel is a bit cumbersome but once the monitor is set up, no need to keep making adjustments.

GREAT 2nd monitor for laptop specially if you want to use on travels.

I use this monitor to work from anywhere but home. I’m fully remote and sometimes my home office isn’t the best place for me to write or so busy work. So this monitor lets me be productive and other environments. It’s especially awesome that it only takes one cord to use and your laptop will keep it charged. Just be careful to keep it in the case at all times. I think the screen is pretty fragile. The customer service has been pretty good too.

This is a really well designed portable monitor stand.I tested it with my 15.6 inch portable monitor and it was really stable. You can also tighten the hinges with the included Allen wrench. There’s an area underneath the stand to store it, which is really convenient. What really astounding about this stand was that, it even worked with a 17.3 inch portable monitor, and was very stable. The monitor can be rotated 360 degrees for a vertical or horizontal orientation.Highly recommended.

First, the display monitor and accessories were well packaged and made of high quality. It was very easy to connect this monitor to my laptop and configure it to be extended or duplicate. Just connect the provided HDMI or USB cable, power cord, and you’re done. There’s wall mounting bracket hardware that allows you to easily attach the display to the wall and remove it for on the go!The display quality is excellent. Sharp contrast, bright colors, and no flicker observed.I’m not a gamer but this display should work fine with gaming devices.Overall great display for portability - at home or on the move with a laptop.

This is a fabulous portable monitor that works perfect with a MacBook 16" M1 Max. Keep in mind that you have to power it and then send the power through the monitor to the computer. I tried to go power->Computer->Monitor and the brightness would only go to 85 before shutting itself off. Run Power->Monitor->Computer and it runs great.I did end up returning it but not because I didn't want to keep it. Unfortunately I have a hardside computer luggage that holds 4 computers and it was just too large to fit :-(Still, highly recommended.

I purchased this in addition to two other 15.6 inch touch screens that I also bought from Newsoul. The 13.3 inch monitor is packaged nicely and comes with a variety of cables for your specific need (HDMI, USB-C, DP). The screen size serves a very niche market for those minimalist folks who want to save extra desk space, and it is very easy to carry around. The ports are set up on the side which made it very easy to insert. The customer service is extremely helpful. I received my adapter the next day from an additional request as I wanted to project my phone onto the screen. Overall I highly recommend this product. The quality of Newsoul products has never disappointed.

I work an office job that requires travel from time to time and I always found it to be very hard to be productive without my home 34 inch ultra wide monitor. While this is not quite as big, it’s the best thing I could ask for when I travel. It is compact, the feel of it is premium, it is light and packs away unnoticeable in my backpack. Being able to display and power the monitor using a single usb-c cable is great—I bought a mini 3 inch usb-c to usb-c cable connector which leaves virtually no cable tangling in your workspace. The brightness is far brighter than I had with other portable screens and the i enjoyed the breath of the other settings too (including a blue light reducer!) I also enjoy the screen cover—since it’s magnetically attached to the back of the monitor, you can move it up or down to reposition the monitor an additional 20-40 degrees. Lastly, the pen hole is surprisingly handy—I had my doubts that a single pen would be able to hold up the monitor, but it works like a charm!

The 16:10 monitor is a dying breed, and the few that are on the market suck because the 2560x1600 resolution is being stretched across a 30 inch screen. Smaller = better DPIHowever, mid-2022 is a game changer with the new 16 inch screen that popped up. There is also a 13.3 inch cousin if you want something more tablet-like.I personally got Newsoul's version, instead of uPerfect's. Both companies sold the same monitor, but the hardware was a bit different.Pros1) Newsoul used a fullsized HDMI 2.0 port (uPerfect used a mini-HDMI)2) 188 dpi = nice screen3) comes with 75x75 vesa mount holes4) super light (under 2 pounds)Cons1) the speakers suck because the sound comes out from one side only2) lacks displayport3) says it's a 10-bit color screen, but my PC's GPU tells me it's 8-bit. I suspect the monitor uses FRC, but I'm not sure how you can check for that feature4) doesn't come with vesa screws. It says they use m4 x 4mm screws, but those don't exist, so I contacted Newsoul about it, and they said use 6mm length screws.5) the lightweight screen makes it impossible to use with gas-spring monitor armsOverall, the screen is nice, and I have two for a dual-monitor setup (still working on that), and I plan to get a third for a laptop-like PC I'm planning to build next.

UPDATE: I received another 13.3" monitor from the seller. The one I received was a 4k rather than a 2k monitor (https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Monitor-Upgraded-Speakers-Computer/dp/B09RZQWH3Z/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1). This 4k monitor works perfectly. A single Type-C cable for both signal and power, and it saves any monitor settings that you change. Also a better picture.=== Original review ===First, good resolution at 2k and nice display. However this is not a slim monitor as described. At 9mm for a non-touch screen monitor, this is thick. It is barely 2.5mm thinner than my 13.5" laptop which has a touch screen. The thickness is however not a huge deal for me.The big problem is the fact that monitor settings (e.g. brightness) are not save/restored unless when you connect via HDMI. I.e. if you set monitor brightness for instance, disconnect and reconnect the power, the brightness returns to default settings. This is annoying for a portable monitor which is meant to be connected and disconnected often. This is true whether you connect with a single type-C cable for both signal and power, or whether you connect an external type-C cable for power before connecting another type-C cable for signal. The only time settings are saved/restored between connections is if you use a HDMI cable for signal.

The monitor works very well. I initially could not connect it via the USB-C ports. Their customer service was outstanding and determined that my computer was not Thunderbolt 3 compatible, which it needs to be to utilize the USB-C port. However, I am connecting it via HDMI and the monitor works perfectly. It is light weight, portable, has good color, and the smart case is very nice. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and recommend it as a great portable monitor.

I wish I'd had this in my life sooner. The 2k resolution looks fantastic. I've got it sitting next to a 32" 4K LG and the picture looks EXACTLY the same. The 2K is the perfect amount of pixels for this 13.3" monitor.Sound: I see in some reviews that the speakers aren't great. I will say this, it sounds like a little bluetooth speaker and gets the job done, and even sounds good for music though it lacks bass. I'm not complaining, though, because to use this for a portable xbox monitor and have game sounds without extra speakers getting dragged around, or for a portable work monitor it's fantastic for notification sounds.Connectivity: The monitor is powered by the USB C port to a normal USB A on a wall adapter or spare port on a computer/game system. I LOVE THIS. No extra power brick to tote around. Better yet, my laptop has Thunderbolt 3 ports, so only a single USB C to USB C cable (included in the box) is needed for both power and video. I also have the mini HDMI to HDMI for my home office setup and it works as expected.Screen case/stand: I'm left desiring a little more here. Unlike iPads that magnetically stick to the predefined spaces to angle the iPad, this monitor just rests and relies on friction to stay upright. I can't see this going well on a plane or maybe a boat where there's any bouncy movement. It will eventually rock itself flat from the movement. As far as quality, the flap is pretty good. It feels nice and offers nice protection while the monitor is covered by it. Lastly, it magnetically attaches to the back of the monitor in any placement, not just at the top/back but anywhere on the back. I like this overall, but if I had an improvement to recommend it would be the cover flap. The monitor itself is perfect and the VESA mount option is over the top.

I bought another product the Orion switch up for my Nintendo switch that thing was a disaster. This however is perfect charges my switch while I play has battery built in cam with wires and a case big screen. It's actually portable. Love it

Originally I was planning to just use this monitor while traveling on WFH stuff but this is such a big monitor I’ve been using it as one of my primary displays even at home. It’s really clear, smooth, and bright. I don’t notice any input lag when using it, and it’s great that just a single USB port can power the display and drive the image as well. It’s also nice that it feels sturdy and looks so sleek, along with the nice case/stand.Would definitely recommend if you’d like a great portable monitor that can double as a main display even at home.
