Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

will this screen time out if my OS is left to never sleep? I ordered another screen that is turning off after 15 minutes

Hi, thanks for you contact. The monitor has only display functions. Generally, after connecting your computer, if your computer has been working, the monitor will also be working. It is recommended that you RESET the monitor in the OSD menu. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact our email (support@newsoul.store). At your service anytime.

Does anyone make a rack mount kit for this display?

I have not found one yet but just started to CAD one out that I can 3D print. Check Thingiverse to see if anyone has made one.

Audio out?

Hi Edward, thanks for contacting us! The monitor has an 3.5mm headphone port and 2 speakers. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

Using the monitor with a desktop pc running windows 11. the touch function does not work. what do i need to do?

Hi Mstock, thanks for contacting us! Please kindly use the touch cable connect the monitor to your PC directly, in that way the touch function will work. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you still have problems.

Does this work with DeX, specifically the touch interface?

This is not a touch screen monitor

does it support pressure level sensing stylus pen? please help.. if it does, which pen is compatibie?

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What is the environment temperature rating for this product?

Hello, thanks for your question. Generally, operating temperature of the monitor is: 0 ~ 50 °C; the storage temperature is: -20 ~ 60 °C. If you have any other questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

Matte (anti-glare) or glossy (glare) screen?

Hello, thanks for your question. The touchscreen portable monitor 15.6" is glossy screen. Adjust the color temperature to 6500 in the OSD menu, and the screen can be anti-glare. If you have any questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

What cable is required to power this monitor from a usb-c?

Hello, thanks for your question. Sorry, you cannot use the computer's USB C port to power the monitor. The 15.6" touch monitor does not have a USB A/C port. But we have specially equipped it with an AC/DC power adapter. If you lose or damage the power adapter, please contact our by email (support@newsoul.store), and send your order number, then we will send you a replacement.

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

I work an office job that requires travel from time to time and I always found it to be very hard to be productive without my home 34 inch ultra wide monitor. While this is not quite as big, it’s the best thing I could ask for when I travel. It is compact, the feel of it is premium, it is light and packs away unnoticeable in my backpack. Being able to display and power the monitor using a single usb-c cable is great—I bought a mini 3 inch usb-c to usb-c cable connector which leaves virtually no cable tangling in your workspace. The brightness is far brighter than I had with other portable screens and the i enjoyed the breath of the other settings too (including a blue light reducer!) I also enjoy the screen cover—since it’s magnetically attached to the back of the monitor, you can move it up or down to reposition the monitor an additional 20-40 degrees. Lastly, the pen hole is surprisingly handy—I had my doubts that a single pen would be able to hold up the monitor, but it works like a charm!

This has been a boon for my article and website reading. I use this monitor for reading PDFs and websites while I use my notebook screen for typing notes. The touchscreen is a bonus.

Stopped working after 5 months - says no signal, powers down, despite cords being functional and having worked with the same set up for the five prior months without issue

Not all portable monitors have vesa mounting holes. Which was important for us when setting up a home office. It’s super light and easy to plug in to a laptop real quick. Text is crisp and the screen is pretty bright. Seems durable, and I put it in a old laptop case when I’m moving it around. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

I spend a lot of my spare time evaluating single board computers (Raspberry PI. Banana Pi, Orange Pi, Odroid, Onion, Pine 64, etc.). I have tried various solutions: HD TVs in a hotel room, transporting an HD display in my luggage and even purchasing a small-screen HDTV locally. (Sometimes, I have had to use a 7" - 10" display which required the connection of a video driver card with an HDMI input. ) None of these have been an acceptable long-term solution.Recently I read the descriptions of a number of small-screen displays and monitors on Amazon and decided that this product would be worth a trial. According to the product description, this monitor appeared to have all the features of a full-sized desktop monitor, but in an incredibly compact form factor. The product arrived in a well-designed package, which included good protection for the monitor itself and space below for the MiniHDMI Cable, the MicroUSB Power Cable, Power Adapter and compact, adjustable, easel-like stand. (Also included, was a simple, but detailed, instruction pamphlet.)My first surprise when I removed the monitor was the weight of the unit. I had expected something light and flimsy, like the typical 7" touch screen displays which I had used before. Instead, this monitor is constructed within a sturdy aluminum frame. It is similar in size and shape to an iPad Mini, but without the weight of a battery. On the rear panel are mounting keyholes to allow for mounting flexibility. In addition, there are two ports for the built-in speakers. On the left edge, there are jacks for the MiniHDMI connection, 3.5mm Headphone output and MicroUSB Power input. On the right side, there are buttons for: Power On/Off; Menu; Down; Up and Exit. The onscreen menu layout is like that on any typical desktop monitor, so there is no need to learn a new process. In order to test the monitor, I connected it to the HDMI output port of an Odroid N2 SBC and applied power to both devices. Within a few seconds, the Odroid had booted to the Ubuntu MATE desktop in an HD format. The screen display was clear and bright and just like the 22" Dell HDMI monitor that was sitting on my desk. When I moved the mouse pointer arrow to the upper left corner to the MATE menu, there was no latency in terms of the display of the menus or submenus. I was mildly surprised by “key clicks" coming from the speakers, as I had no external speakers connected.Using this Newsoul monitor for the first time indicated to me that it should work properly with any HDMI source. There was no requirement to download a driver. There was no requirement to adjust any Linux parameter in the OS. It just works! I did check the various adjustments in the monitor menu, and they all seemed to work appropriately. (The Aspect Ratio defaults to HD, but 4 X 3 is also an option.)Overall, this monitor is built as though they had taken a full-sized HDMI monitor and somehow magically shrunk it down to 7"! I highly recommend it for size, performance and priceImage: Monitor showing Ubuntu MATE Desktop from Odroid N2 single board computer. (Standard keyboard)Update:For some reason, the display went into a dark mode (as though a screen saver had been triggered) after several days of use. I exchanged emails with the manufacturer as they tried to trouble shoot the issue. Finally, after about a week, their recommendation was to initiate a return/replacement with Amazon. The Amazon process was incredibly easy! I received an advance replacement within a few days and the physical return process was very simple. The replacement display has worked flawlessly! It is good to work with a manufacturer who takes responsibility for Customer Service with their products.

I find that with these portable monitors it's mostly about finding one that meets enough of your criteria at a decent enough price and honestly this one does it for me. The Resolution / Aspect Ratio is really nice. Apple and all the other big laptop companies are going 16/10 for a reason. Resolution at this size is also great. You really don't need the power drain of 4K at this size and it just adds extra cost. If I was to pick something about it I didn't like, the HDR performance is kind of mediocre and I don't believe i saw a VESA certification anyway but for the price I don't really think that's an issue, at least it has it. Also the colors are a bit warm so you might need to tweak that yourself but that's doable. It's a great all rounder for the price.

I travel a lot for both work and leisure, and also work remote from both my own home and from my family's home so I've always used various travel monitors. Travel monitors over the years have gotten so much better and cheaper (started with a Lenovo 720p 14" over a decade ago), and I regularly kept upgrading since they're so handy to have. My last travel monitor (an Asus) broke due to my clumsiness so I was in the market for a new one. I was just going to buy another Asus when I noticed they have 17.3" travel monitor... which was extremely expensive because it was a ROG series gaming monitor (240hz, 3ms, other fancy features). I mainly just wanted something for work but the idea of having such a nice, large display for a travel monitor was temping. I almost pulled the trigger when I noticed a lot of off-brand 17.3" travel monitors which were plenty for what I needed (17.3" and 1080p) and I ultimately settled on this one.Initially, I was kind of surprised that there's no brand logo on it (and only noticed after received it that the stock pictures are the same- no brand logo) but honestly, I find that a plus because it's a sleek and clean design. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it immediately AFTER I used the right cable (there is both a USB C power/video cable and then a USB C power only cable) and into the right slow (again, there's a slot just for power and a slot for power/video input). My work laptop (Lenovo T480s) kept disconnecting it every now and then for a few seconds before reconnecting- I wasn't sure why but after I plugged in the additional cable for power, it stopped disconnecting. I figure it was my work laptop could not sufficiency power it so to test the theory, I tried it with my personal laptop (Lenovo Legion 6 Gen 5) and it worked fine with just the single video/power cable; I did not need the additional power cable. Overall, I'm very happy with the monitor for work. Visually, productivity software looks nice and clean on it, and playing some HD video, it was smooth, bright and with vibrant colors.I did not try it with anything else (HDMI) or try the other ports (micro-USB/headphone jack). It does have built in speakers, which is nice and they work decently well but aren't super loud.Just for fun, I had my Switch near by and decided to see if I could just plug the USB C cable to my Nintendo Switch and... nothing. So I plugged in the power cable and it worked! What a nice surprise, you can use this to play the Switch, just like you would a regular docked TV, as long as you can also feed it from a power supply. Metroid Dread looked and sounded good, I didn't notice any input lag or anything. Not sure if it works with all Switch models but I have the OLED model, I imagine it would work with the standard Switch too since the OLED Switch works with the standard Switch dock (Lite users are SOL). Bonus note: it even worked when I used my Anker battery bank to power it!Also included was a USB wall plug and a fold-around case, which doubled as the stand. The case/stand doesn't seem like it's going to be super protective nor does it really function as a great stand (can't angle it to anything other than the standard 45-degree angle). The case stand is probably my only knock on the product. It is VESA compatible too, which seems kind of pointless for a travel monitor but... yeah.

Needed a case to protect a portable monitor. Protects the screen when the monitor is in your laptop bag.

Graph is sharp but it turns jumpy and black after 6 months. Short life!

The power cord and adapter both stopped working after just 2 weeks. I have never had a cord or adapter break so soon. Not even close. I can use a cord and adapter from one of my other devices, so at least the monitor itself isn't useless now, but it's very annoying to have them tied up the whole time I'm using the montitor.

Originally I was planning to just use this monitor while traveling on WFH stuff but this is such a big monitor I’ve been using it as one of my primary displays even at home. It’s really clear, smooth, and bright. I don’t notice any input lag when using it, and it’s great that just a single USB port can power the display and drive the image as well. It’s also nice that it feels sturdy and looks so sleek, along with the nice case/stand.Would definitely recommend if you’d like a great portable monitor that can double as a main display even at home.

The screen is very bright. It can easily be used outside in direct sunlight. The case/stand is versatile with several magnets that can hold the screen securely at any angle. It is very thin and light so it easily fits in my bag along with my laptop. This is a good device to buy if you want a quality display without any of the gimmicky features that I often see on other electronics.

This is a really well designed portable monitor stand.I tested it with my 15.6 inch portable monitor and it was really stable. You can also tighten the hinges with the included Allen wrench. There’s an area underneath the stand to store it, which is really convenient. What really astounding about this stand was that, it even worked with a 17.3 inch portable monitor, and was very stable. The monitor can be rotated 360 degrees for a vertical or horizontal orientation.Highly recommended.

For the value and what it offers, I think it is pretty good. The build quality is very good. If you are looking for a simple monitor that you can connect to your laptop for work or school, this one is the one you should choose.

This monitor is amazing. Just what i needed for my extended work from home situation. I like the portability of the monitor, so, I can move this around the house when I work in different spots. Customer service is amazing. I had an issue with previous monitor (could have been damaged during delivery), the CS took care of the replacement right away without hassle.

I received my item very promptly and it was everything I hoped it would be. I liked that they provided several cables for multiple connection methods. I did not have to buy anything else. It came with a monitor user manual that was easy to understand. I love the touchscreen capability. The monitor was super thin, lightweight and I love it. It has a a volume control and a plug for headphones. It came with a stand that can be adjusted to many angles. The sleeve is beautiful but I haven't figured out how to fold it so I won't need the stand provided. I figure something out when I forget the stand at home. I would buy this item again and I am very happy with my purchase. My colleagues were impressed with the sleek professional look during our presentations.

Meets all expectations. Lightweight but strong enoungh to be thrown into the sleeve in the backpack (along with its protective case). I turned up the brightness and all is very sharp and crisp. not lag.Am using just the single usb -c cable to connect. Power, Signal, and even Touch all on the one cable.I was worried Id need to use the deticated power cable as for other items such as small usb 'optionally/non powered/powered' usb home docking station I have .. the computer battery will slowly drain. but with this screen. after 2 hours and both screens turned up bright computer battery is at 100%.So far really happy with the purchase. arrived fast I will be a great asset when on the road or working at co-op desks.

I wish I'd had this in my life sooner. The 2k resolution looks fantastic. I've got it sitting next to a 32" 4K LG and the picture looks EXACTLY the same. The 2K is the perfect amount of pixels for this 13.3" monitor.Sound: I see in some reviews that the speakers aren't great. I will say this, it sounds like a little bluetooth speaker and gets the job done, and even sounds good for music though it lacks bass. I'm not complaining, though, because to use this for a portable xbox monitor and have game sounds without extra speakers getting dragged around, or for a portable work monitor it's fantastic for notification sounds.Connectivity: The monitor is powered by the USB C port to a normal USB A on a wall adapter or spare port on a computer/game system. I LOVE THIS. No extra power brick to tote around. Better yet, my laptop has Thunderbolt 3 ports, so only a single USB C to USB C cable (included in the box) is needed for both power and video. I also have the mini HDMI to HDMI for my home office setup and it works as expected.Screen case/stand: I'm left desiring a little more here. Unlike iPads that magnetically stick to the predefined spaces to angle the iPad, this monitor just rests and relies on friction to stay upright. I can't see this going well on a plane or maybe a boat where there's any bouncy movement. It will eventually rock itself flat from the movement. As far as quality, the flap is pretty good. It feels nice and offers nice protection while the monitor is covered by it. Lastly, it magnetically attaches to the back of the monitor in any placement, not just at the top/back but anywhere on the back. I like this overall, but if I had an improvement to recommend it would be the cover flap. The monitor itself is perfect and the VESA mount option is over the top.
