UPDATE: I received another 13.3" monitor from the seller. The one I received was a 4k rather than a 2k monitor (https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Monitor-Upgraded-Speakers-Computer/dp/B09RZQWH3Z/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1). This 4k monitor works perfectly. A single Type-C cable for both signal and power, and it saves any monitor settings that you change. Also a better picture.=== Original review ===First, good resolution at 2k and nice display.However this is not a slim monitor as described. At 9mm for a non-touch screen monitor, this is thick. It is barely 2.5mm thinner than my 13.5" laptop which has a touch screen. The thickness is however not a huge deal for me.The big problem is the fact that monitor settings (e.g. brightness) are not save/restored unless when you connect via HDMI. I.e. if you set monitor brightness for instance, disconnect and reconnect the power, the brightness returns to default settings. This is annoying for a portable monitor which is meant to be connected and disconnected often. This is true whether you connect with a single type-C cable for both signal and power, or whether you connect an external type-C cable for power before connecting another type-C cable for signal. The only time settings are saved/restored between connections is if you use a HDMI cable for signal.

I got a pair of these monitors so I could work remotely with adequate screen real estate. The picture is clear and crisp, and setup is a breeze. The case that it comes with is handy for protection and transportation

Solid 1080p IPS panel for traveling. It gets decently bright but I wouldn't recommendusing in direct sunlight. For the actual display quality, colors are as vivid as you'd expect of an IPS panel, definitely a step up from some gaming laptops, but definitely a bit lacking compared to panels used in the higher end laptops. I currently use it as a second monitor for Discord and Youtube and so far it's holding up. Not much to say about build quality as I've only had this for a week, but if you travel quite often or are looking for decent portable display, this one does the job.

I’ve been giving this monitor a thorough testing by using it with my touchscreen laptop, my traditional laptop, my iPhone and my Nintendo Switch. It does not disappoint!! It has a nice magnetic case/cover with it, and every cord you could possibly need. But it’s super easy to use with the type-c cord, so you may not need any of the extras that they supply you with anyway. With the built in battery, no extra power cord is needed! It holds the charge for a fairly long time, but of course that will depend on your use. Speakers are pretty good. Picture quality is excellent! The only con that I’ve found is that the navigation for the On Screen Display (OSD) menu to adjust picture/color/advanced settings is not intuitive. It’s not a touchscreen menu, and is controlled by the Brightness/Volume rocker buttons, which takes some getting used to. But once I adjusted the settings to my liking, I don’t think I’ll need to navigate through it again anyway. If you’re looking for a touch screen portable monitor, don’t hesitate to scoop this one up. This is a fabulous portable monitor that works perfect with a MacBook 16" M1 Max. Keep in mind that you have to power it and then send the power through the monitor to the computer. I tried to go power->Computer->Monitor and the brightness would only go to 85 before shutting itself off. Run Power->Monitor->Computer and it runs great.I did end up returning it but not because I didn't want to keep it. Unfortunately I have a hardside computer luggage that holds 4 computers and it was just too large to fit :-(Still, highly recommended.

This monitor was just the right size for me and I love the 2560x1600 resolution. Color looks great to me and the speaker is okay. It comes with a magnetic case that is also a stand. It works okay but I needed something with more stability and adjustable angles. I contacted their customer service and they were able to answer and address all questions and concerns quickly. They also sent me a VESA stand that was exactly what I needed. Great product and exceptional customer service!

This is the second NewSoul monitor I have purchased. The first is still going strong after 2 years of pretty frequent use. Would purchase again.

This monitor is incredible value. I was a bit skeptical that it could have all the features it has for such a low price. But when I received it everything worked as expected. I use a Macbook Air 2020 M1 for work. I frequently travel and have to work from various locations. Because the screen on my Macboook is small, I thought a portable screen would be perfect to extend my screen real estate while working away from my home office. I love the 2k resolution because it creates more screen space for me to work on. On my Mac I did have to adjust the resolution (Displays -> Scaled) and select the toggle that's called something like, "Show all resolutions". Once I pressed that I was able to select the 2k resolution. With 2k, everything is pretty small (such as text), but it's easy to zoom in and adjust the windows / scale to the right size. Although apparently it's recommended to use the power cable separately while extending your screen, I was able to use the included USB-C to USB-C cable to power and display from my Macbook. Of course it drains your Macbook battery faster, but if your Macbook is plugged in, you should be able to simply connect the monitor into the laptop and not the wall. I'm not an expert or anything so I don't know if there are any downsides to this approach for things battery longevity, etc. But so far it's worked well for me.I also bought this screen to use to watch videos from my phone while traveling. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Initially I attempted to connect my phone and it didn't work. My device just acted like it was charging the monitor or being charged by the monitor. It didn't recognize the display. I contacted support and received a response within a day. I was recommended a cable that they promised to reimburse me for. I ordered it (HDMI to USB-C video cable) and with it, my phone recognized the monitor as a display but the monitor was still blank. After some troubleshooting, I found out the problem was with my phone, not the monitor. My phone's USB-C port is damaged so it only communicates power not video. I plugged my younger Brother's Galaxy S20 into the monitor and it worked immediately with both cables (the included USB-C to USB-C and the separately ordered HDMI to USB-C). I told this to support and they still offered to pay for the ordered cable. Today they reimbursed me as promised. I've never had customer service this good.Just a couple things on how the monitor works with a phone plugged in. First, if you have a phone similar to mine, you definitely have to plug the monitor into the wall as well. My brother's phone's power output definitely was not powerful enough to power the monitor. Even if it did, I'm sure the phone would be drained very quickly. Much to my surprise, my brother's Samsung phone got the full 2k resolution on the monitor when mirroring the phone (Galaxy S20). Amazing how powerful phones are nowadays. Another thing I was originally concerned about was whether the display would work with protected content, aka HDCP. If the monitor and cable do not support HDCP, you cannot watch most Netflix, Hulu, etc. shows when mirroring or extending. I tested this and using the included USB-C to USB-C and the later provided USB-C to HDMI video cable, I was able to view protected content on the display, so I assume it supports HDCP. Amazing!A quick note on other features. As other reviews have said, the speakers are not very good quality. But that's not at all what I bought it for. My Macbook's speakers are good and it's easy to connect headphones to the sources device. So I didn't care that they didn't sound good. Also, some have complained about the magnetic foldable case/mount. It's true that the magnet isn't super strong, but it mainly stays mounted fine on a stable surface. No problems for me here.Essentially, the monitor does what I wanted to do, and very gracefully. Very happy with my purchase and unbeatable value for the price. I'm looking forward to using this during travel.

I wish I'd had this in my life sooner. The 2k resolution looks fantastic. I've got it sitting next to a 32" 4K LG and the picture looks EXACTLY the same. The 2K is the perfect amount of pixels for this 13.3" monitor.Sound: I see in some reviews that the speakers aren't great. I will say this, it sounds like a little bluetooth speaker and gets the job done, and even sounds good for music though it lacks bass. I'm not complaining, though, because to use this for a portable xbox monitor and have game sounds without extra speakers getting dragged around, or for a portable work monitor it's fantastic for notification sounds.Connectivity: The monitor is powered by the USB C port to a normal USB A on a wall adapter or spare port on a computer/game system. I LOVE THIS. No extra power brick to tote around. Better yet, my laptop has Thunderbolt 3 ports, so only a single USB C to USB C cable (included in the box) is needed for both power and video. I also have the mini HDMI to HDMI for my home office setup and it works as expected.Screen case/stand: I'm left desiring a little more here. Unlike iPads that magnetically stick to the predefined spaces to angle the iPad, this monitor just rests and relies on friction to stay upright. I can't see this going well on a plane or maybe a boat where there's any bouncy movement. It will eventually rock itself flat from the movement. As far as quality, the flap is pretty good. It feels nice and offers nice protection while the monitor is covered by it. Lastly, it magnetically attaches to the back of the monitor in any placement, not just at the top/back but anywhere on the back. I like this overall, but if I had an improvement to recommend it would be the cover flap. The monitor itself is perfect and the VESA mount option is over the top.

So all the photos of this case show a sleeve for putting phones and cords and such on the outside, this doesn't have anything like that. Additionally, if you get one and you have a laptop or portable monitor that's a 15 inch model, you're gonna have a hard time getting it unzipped. It took me 10 minutes to unzip it with a portable monitor in it. I'm returning this.

Connect this item to a 2020 Macbook Air 13", and it works just fine in terms of plug and play. Unfortunately, there is a power drain so severe when running CPU intensive applications the Macbook battery discharges completely after 4-5 hours of use. And yes, the Macbook as well as the monitor are both plugged into AC power while this happens. This also happens when the laptop monitor is completely dimmed black. Also, power surges are common. When they do happen the monitor goes into sleep mode immediately. Whatever work you had on the monitor is now transferred to the laptop, and it's annoying. I'm trying to find out how power distribution works, but that information is limited to internet searches as the manual in the box is all of 3"x3" and maybe 10-15 pages.

I got this to make my mini PC portable. I like that it has full size HDMI, the option of using usb-c for both power and signal instead (when using the correct port, though I probably won't use it that way). The cover lays flat for protection and slimness for transport, and folds up into a stand for use. I also like the option to connect my phone with OTG, but need some cables for that. Working good.

I received my item very promptly and it was everything I hoped it would be. I liked that they provided several cables for multiple connection methods. I did not have to buy anything else. It came with a monitor user manual that was easy to understand. I love the touchscreen capability. The monitor was super thin, lightweight and I love it. It has a a volume control and a plug for headphones. It came with a stand that can be adjusted to many angles. The sleeve is beautiful but I haven't figured out how to fold it so I won't need the stand provided. I figure something out when I forget the stand at home. I would buy this item again and I am very happy with my purchase. My colleagues were impressed with the sleek professional look during our presentations.

This has really helped my workflow! Not too big & good quality. Used as a second & travel monitor for my MacBook. Love it!

The monitor is honestly kind of a steal considering the quality. It does everything it advertises but at a relatively fair price. One slight issue I had was its compatibility with 3rd party vesa monitor arm, but the customer service was really quick and efficient and resolved the issue in the end. Highly recommend.

GREAT 2nd monitor for laptop specially if you want to use on travels.

I have a Galaxy A52. If you do, too, you're out of luck: a connection to this screen isn't recognized by the Galaxy A series as anything but a charging cable. That's my phone's fault, but also this store's fault for not LISTING THE FEW PHONES THAT ARE LISTED IN THE MANUAL here. Wasting some people's time and our great civilization's shipping costs when the customer returns it. Otherwise, it's working fine as a second monitor for Windows.Also, what kind of touch screen doesn't support long press??Update: I GOT A NEW PHONE and it STILL doesn't work right because now that I have the screen mirroring capability, THIS SCREEN IS INCAPABLE OF RECOGNIZING MY PHONE IS IN PORTRAIT MODE AND APPROPRIATELY FLIPPING ITS OWN SCREEN. It has no capability to do so. This is for an S22 Ultra.There's not even touch capacity. It's just a phone screen turned sideways that I can only interact with via my phone.I actually feel a bit betrayed.

Did not come with mounting screws for the VESA mount. But their customer service directed me to the correct screws (which worked great) and refunded me my cost for them.
