Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. Audio was working through builtin speakers, but after adjusting the volume, it crackled and then no more audio. this is via hdmi on rpi4b. any ideas?

I did not have that problem. Been playing YouTube videos on mine. Check your HDMI cable, I have notice some are not made very well.

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

Using the monitor with a desktop pc running windows 11. the touch function does not work. what do i need to do?

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What cable is required to power this monitor from a usb-c?

Hello, thanks for your question. Sorry, you cannot use the computer's USB C port to power the monitor. The 15.6" touch monitor does not have a USB A/C port. But we have specially equipped it with an AC/DC power adapter. Does this screen have a glass screen? Does anyone know the hardness of the screen?

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

I spend a lot of my spare time evaluating single board computers (Raspberry PI. Banana Pi, Orange Pi, Odroid, Onion, Pine 64, etc.). I have tried various solutions: HD TVs in a hotel room, transporting an HD display in my luggage and even purchasing a small-screen HDTV locally. (Sometimes, I have had to use a 7" - 10" display which required the connection of a video driver card with an HDMI input. ) None of these have been an acceptable long-term solution.Recently I read the descriptions of a number of small-screen displays and monitors on Amazon and decided that this product would be worth a trial. According to the product description, this monitor appeared to have all the features of a full-sized desktop monitor, but in an incredibly compact form factor.The product arrived in a well-designed package, which included good protection for the monitor itself and space below for the MiniHDMI Cable, the MicroUSB Power Cable, Power Adapter and compact, adjustable, easel-like stand. (Also included, was a simple, but detailed, instruction pamphlet.)My first surprise when I removed the monitor was the weight of the unit. I had expected something light and flimsy, like the typical 7" touch screen displays which I had used before. Instead, this monitor is constructed within a sturdy aluminum frame. It is similar in size and shape to an iPad Mini, but without the weight of a battery.On the rear panel are mounting keyholes to allow for mounting flexibility. In addition, there are two ports for the built-in speakers. On the left edge, there are jacks for the MiniHDMI connection, 3.5mm Headphone output and MicroUSB Power input. On the right side, there are buttons for: Power On/Off; Menu; Down; Up and Exit. The onscreen menu layout is like that on any typical desktop monitor, so there is no need to learn a new process.In order to test the monitor, I connected it to the HDMI output port of an Odroid N2 SBC and applied power to both devices. Within a few seconds, the Odroid had booted to the Ubuntu MATE desktop in an HD format. The screen display was clear and bright and just like the 22" Dell HDMI monitor that was sitting on my desk. When I moved the mouse pointer arrow to the upper left corner to the MATE menu, there was no latency in terms of the display of the menus or submenus. I was mildly surprised by “key clicks" coming from the speakers, as I had no external speakers connected.Using this Newsoul monitor for the first time indicated to me that it should work properly with any HDMI source. There was no requirement to download a driver. There was no requirement to adjust any Linux parameter in the OS. It just works! I did check the various adjustments in the monitor menu, and they all seemed to work appropriately. (The Aspect Ratio defaults to HD, but 4 X 3 is also an option.)Overall, this monitor is built as though they had taken a full-sized HDMI monitor and somehow magically shrunk it down to 7"! The Amazon process was incredibly easy! I received an advance replacement within a few days and the physical return process was very simple.The replacement display has worked flawlessly!It is good to work with a manufacturer who takes responsibility for Customer Service with their products.

The overall quality of the monitor is really great, feels nice and solid. I've had the chance to use it with a couple of my devices and having it powered different ways. It works great connected to my Xbox and being powered from it too, but not sure why it has problems staying powered on when connected to my Laptop, the display will power off irregularity even when powered from the type c port of my laptop. It can be powered by a portable charger, but even with a 20000 mha charger, I got around a few hours before it died. The sound is okay but it's what I expected from a portable monitor.

I’ve been giving this monitor a thorough testing by using it with my touchscreen laptop, my traditional laptop, my iPhone and my Nintendo Switch. It does not disappoint!! It has a nice magnetic case/cover with it, and every cord you could possibly need. But it’s super easy to use with the type-c cord, so you may not need any of the extras that they supply you with anyway. With the built in battery, no extra power cord is needed! It holds the charge for a fairly long time, but of course that will depend on your use. Speakers are pretty good. Picture quality is excellent! The only con that I’ve found is that the navigation for the On Screen Display (OSD) menu to adjust picture/color/advanced settings is not intuitive. It’s not a touchscreen menu, and is controlled by the Brightness/Volume rocker buttons, which takes some getting used to. But once I adjusted the settings to my liking, I don’t think I’ll need to navigate through it again anyway. If you’re looking for a touch screen portable monitor, don’t hesitate to scoop this one up. Emphasis on the "little"; you're not gonna be using this screen for your main dev work, but for the right project (say, an Internet radio or alarm clock) it's perfect. The documentation is a little wanting, but that's true of just about anything Raspberry Pi, I'm afraid. (Specifically, more about how the touchscreen digitizer works would be welcome.) Overall, recommended!EDIT: This is no longer the same monitor I reviewed in 2019. These people are recycling their Amazon ASINs, which is a major no-no. Too bad, too, because what's currently there now looks pretty cool.

I bought another product the Orion switch up for my Nintendo switch that thing was a disaster. This however is perfect charges my switch while I play has battery built in cam with wires and a case big screen. It's actually portable. Love it

Before VGA was 14" now it's 5 and works great.This display warrants adding more the the review later. I've wasted my money on other small resistive touch displays, I'm really appreciating the capacitive screen and the fact it doesn't look like I have an old gps screen on my desk.

I'm pairing this with my Microsoft Surface Book 2 15in for work and productivity on the go and office. While at 13in it's smaller than my laptop screen, my preference was for a compact screen that was more portable and lighter.What surprised me most was how thin and easy to pair it was. It essentially looks and feels like an android tablet. You get everything you need out of the box to ensure you can pair it to most devices extremely simply. Pairing it was as simple as connecting the USB C to USB wire from the monitor to my laptop. I didn't need to use the charger provided at all. No additional setup or software was needed. I tweaked the color and brightness a bit from the settings on the monitor itself to more closely match the laptop, but aside from that, it was good.I wanted a touch monitor as it paired well with my touch screen experience I was already used to. It's great to be able to pinch to zoom and scroll with gestures. The folio/tent cover allows you to get your preferred viewing angle while also being a screen protector when not in use.

I have purchased numerous monitors for my custom arcade machine, never quite happy but limited in size to 19 inches or less. Then I purchased this on a whim, and it is literally a game changer! Virtually the same viewable area as the 19 inch it replaced, but WOW the picture is great, refresh is great, and viewing angle is excellent in ALL directions. Build quality and packaging seem well beyond the price. Only negative is that it is a little dim, and colors are slightly muted. I am sure with some adjustment I could fix a bit, but frankly on balance the picture out of the box is really great and I am just leaving it alone.

Connect this item to a 2020 Macbook Air 13", and it works just fine in terms of plug and play. Unfortunately, there is a power drain so severe when running CPU intensive applications the Macbook battery discharges completely after 4-5 hours of use. And yes, the Macbook as well as the monitor are both plugged into AC power while this happens. This also happens when the laptop monitor is completely dimmed black. Also, power surges are common. When they do happen the monitor goes into sleep mode immediately. Whatever work you had on the monitor is now transferred to the laptop, and it's annoying. I'm trying to find out how power distribution works, but that information is limited to internet searches as the manual in the box is all of 3"x3" and maybe 10-15 pages.

This is a fabulous portable monitor that works perfect with a MacBook 16" M1 Max. Keep in mind that you have to power it and then send the power through the monitor to the computer. I tried to go power->Computer->Monitor and the brightness would only go to 85 before shutting itself off. Run Power->Monitor->Computer and it runs great.I did end up returning it but not because I didn't want to keep it. Unfortunately I have a hardside computer luggage that holds 4 computers and it was just too large to fit :-(Still, highly recommended.

I'm a big fan of portable monitors, they are great for traveling or camping, I also use them with my mini PC to maintain a small footprint. This monitor is very light at about 4 lbs and has a very vibrant screen. It comes with a case/stand that attaches magnetically, USB power supply and cable along with hdmi cables.One nice feature is it has VESA screw holes on the back so you can mount it on a stand, just be aware as it's very light so you have to use a monitor stand that doesn't have a minimum weight limit as many are spring loaded.The case doubles as a stand and has 2 indents to hold the monitor at different angles. One thing that isn't very obvious is you can press the volume rocker on the side to enter the setup menu where there is a load of settings you can tweak if you desire. I set mine to Vivid mode to get more vibrant colors, there is also a gaming and movie mode.I hooked it up to my Switch and the games display very nicely, the sound isn't too bad as well, you can't expect big sound from the small built-in speakers. I would recommend pairing a Bluetooth speaker or headphones anyway to get much better sound.When you are done the monitor quickly packs up and is easily transportable. Would be a great complement as a 2nd screen to a laptop or even a desktop PC. I'll most likely use it to play games and watch movies on the go. I would definitely recommend this monitor as it combines a great lightweight display at an affordable price.

I travel a lot for both work and leisure, and also work remote from both my own home and from my family's home so I've always used various travel monitors. Travel monitors over the years have gotten so much better and cheaper (started with a Lenovo 720p 14" over a decade ago), and I regularly kept upgrading since they're so handy to have. My last travel monitor (an Asus) broke due to my clumsiness so I was in the market for a new one. I was just going to buy another Asus when I noticed they have 17.3" travel monitor... which was extremely expensive because it was a ROG series gaming monitor (240hz, 3ms, other fancy features). I mainly just wanted something for work but the idea of having such a nice, large display for a travel monitor was temping. I almost pulled the trigger when I noticed a lot of off-brand 17.3" travel monitors which were plenty for what I needed (17.3" and 1080p) and I ultimately settled on this one.Initially, I was kind of surprised that there's no brand logo on it (and only noticed after received it that the stock pictures are the same- no brand logo) but honestly, I find that a plus because it's a sleek and clean design. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it immediately AFTER I used the right cable (there is both a USB C power/video cable and then a USB C power only cable) and into the right slow (again, there's a slot just for power and a slot for power/video input). My work laptop (Lenovo T480s) kept disconnecting it every now and then for a few seconds before reconnecting- I wasn't sure why but after I plugged in the additional cable for power, it stopped disconnecting. I figure it was my work laptop could not sufficiency power it so to test the theory, I tried it with my personal laptop (Lenovo Legion 6 Gen 5) and it worked fine with just the single video/power cable; I did not need the additional power cable. Overall, I'm very happy with the monitor for work. Visually, productivity software looks nice and clean on it, and playing some HD video, it was smooth, bright and with vibrant colors.I did not try it with anything else (HDMI) or try the other ports (micro-USB/headphone jack). It does have built in speakers, which is nice and they work decently well but aren't super loud.Just for fun, I had my Switch near by and decided to see if I could just plug the USB C cable to my Nintendo Switch and... nothing. So I plugged in the power cable and it worked! What a nice surprise, you can use this to play the Switch, just like you would a regular docked TV, as long as you can also feed it from a power supply. Metroid Dread looked and sounded good, I didn't notice any input lag or anything. Not sure if it works with all Switch models but I have the OLED model, I imagine it would work with the standard Switch too since the OLED Switch works with the standard Switch dock (Lite users are SOL). Bonus note: it even worked when I used my Anker battery bank to power it!Also included was a USB wall plug and a fold-around case, which doubled as the stand. The case/stand doesn't seem like it's going to be super protective nor does it really function as a great stand (can't angle it to anything other than the standard 45-degree angle). The case stand is probably my only knock on the product. It is VESA compatible too, which seems kind of pointless for a travel monitor but... yeah.

This 16" 2K Monitor is a great value and is feature rich. It includes a very versatile leatherette magnetic desktop case, east to use controls and a high quality image. A single toggle on the side gets you to all menu features and setting menus, very intuitive and fast settings.I like how light this is and how easily it is to connect. All the cables needed are included and the instructions do a good job outlining the settings and adjustments.Includes a nice 100mm VESA mounting holes on the back to allow any VESA bracket to be used.THe screen is bright, clear and has very good resolution. If there was a 6 star review I would rate it there.
