Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What is the environment temperature rating for this product?

Hello, thanks for your question. Generally, operating temperature of the monitor is: 0 ~ 50 °C; the storage temperature is: -20 ~ 60 °C. If you have any other questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

The 16:10 monitor is a dying breed, and the few that are on the market suck because the 2560x1600 resolution is being stretched across a 30 inch screen. Smaller = better DPIHowever, mid-2022 is a game changer with the new 16 inch screen that popped up. There is also a 13.3 inch cousin if you want something more tablet-like.I personally got Newsoul's version, instead of uPerfect's. Both companies sold the same monitor, but the hardware was a bit different.Pros1) Newsoul used a fullsized HDMI 2.0 port (uPerfect used a mini-HDMI)2) 188 dpi = nice screen3) comes with 75x75 vesa mount holes4) super light (under 2 pounds)Cons1) the speakers suck because the sound comes out from one side only2) lacks displayport3) says it's a 10-bit color screen, but my PC's GPU tells me it's 8-bit. I suspect the monitor uses FRC, but I'm not sure how you can check for that feature4) doesn't come with vesa screws. It says they use m4 x 4mm screws, but those don't exist, so I contacted Newsoul about it, and they said use 6mm length screws.5) the lightweight screen makes it impossible to use with gas-spring monitor armsOverall, the screen is nice, and I have two for a dual-monitor setup (still working on that), and I plan to get a third for a laptop-like PC I'm planning to build next.

There’s a lot of options for portable monitors. I have searched over 20 different brands and I found it is the best for value/features. The interface has buttons on the side to control settings and volume. This is more intuitive than the scroll wheel button used in other models. Sound is mediocre, I can play retro games on it, but for movies, then I recommend using external speakers. There is no logo with non-sensical English, which makes my desk setup more professional looking. The frame feels solid and gives a premium feel. The VESA has 4 holes to mount, other brands has only 2. The picture quality is within specifications of a 1080p monitor, so within my expectations.

I travel a lot for both work and leisure, and also work remote from both my own home and from my family's home so I've always used various travel monitors. Travel monitors over the years have gotten so much better and cheaper (started with a Lenovo 720p 14" over a decade ago), and I regularly kept upgrading since they're so handy to have. My last travel monitor (an Asus) broke due to my clumsiness so I was in the market for a new one. I was just going to buy another Asus when I noticed they have 17.3" travel monitor... which was extremely expensive because it was a ROG series gaming monitor (240hz, 3ms, other fancy features). I mainly just wanted something for work but the idea of having such a nice, large display for a travel monitor was temping. I almost pulled the trigger when I noticed a lot of off-brand 17.3" travel monitors which were plenty for what I needed (17.3" and 1080p) and I ultimately settled on this one.Initially, I was kind of surprised that there's no brand logo on it (and only noticed after received it that the stock pictures are the same- no brand logo) but honestly, I find that a plus because it's a sleek and clean design. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it immediately AFTER I used the right cable (there is both a USB C power/video cable and then a USB C power only cable) and into the right slow (again, there's a slot just for power and a slot for power/video input). My work laptop (Lenovo T480s) kept disconnecting it every now and then for a few seconds before reconnecting- I wasn't sure why but after I plugged in the additional cable for power, it stopped disconnecting. I figure it was my work laptop could not sufficiency power it so to test the theory, I tried it with my personal laptop (Lenovo Legion 6 Gen 5) and it worked fine with just the single video/power cable; I did not need the additional power cable. Overall, I'm very happy with the monitor for work. Visually, productivity software looks nice and clean on it, and playing some HD video, it was smooth, bright and with vibrant colors.I did not try it with anything else (HDMI) or try the other ports (micro-USB/headphone jack). It does have built in speakers, which is nice and they work decently well but aren't super loud.Just for fun, I had my Switch near by and decided to see if I could just plug the USB C cable to my Nintendo Switch and... nothing. So I plugged in the power cable and it worked! What a nice surprise, you can use this to play the Switch, just like you would a regular docked TV, as long as you can also feed it from a power supply. Metroid Dread looked and sounded good, I didn't notice any input lag or anything. Not sure if it works with all Switch models but I have the OLED model, I imagine it would work with the standard Switch too since the OLED Switch works with the standard Switch dock (Lite users are SOL). Bonus note: it even worked when I used my Anker battery bank to power it!Also included was a USB wall plug and a fold-around case, which doubled as the stand. The case/stand doesn't seem like it's going to be super protective nor does it really function as a great stand (can't angle it to anything other than the standard 45-degree angle). The case stand is probably my only knock on the product. It is VESA compatible too, which seems kind of pointless for a travel monitor but... yeah.

I really like this monitor! It is the same size as my laptop and can easily fit together into my backpack. I like the fact it comes with a protector that can also serve as a stand. I typically use 3 monitors in the office. And I was able to use it as a 3rd screen when working from home. Customer service is great! Great follow up and quick response. They seem to want to ensure that the purchaser is happy with the product.

I received my item very promptly and it was everything I hoped it would be. I liked that they provided several cables for multiple connection methods. I did not have to buy anything else. It came with a monitor user manual that was easy to understand. I love the touchscreen capability. The monitor was super thin, lightweight and I love it. It has a a volume control and a plug for headphones. It came with a stand that can be adjusted to many angles. The sleeve is beautiful but I haven't figured out how to fold it so I won't need the stand provided. I figure something out when I forget the stand at home. I would buy this item again and I am very happy with my purchase. My colleagues were impressed with the sleek professional look during our presentations.

Best laptop extra monitor I have found at a decent price. The colors and brightness of this display are excellent. Setup was a breeze, completely up and running in 10 minutes. Lots of menu options and straight forward connections that make setup and use a easy task. I took this with me to work off site at Starbucks and had more comments then I expected. I probably helped sell a few of these just in this one visit. The pictures do not do it justice, my iphone camera is great but the ambient light was a struggle to get a true quality picture.

I'm pairing this with my Microsoft Surface Book 2 15in for work and productivity on the go and office. While at 13in it's smaller than my laptop screen, my preference was for a compact screen that was more portable and lighter. What surprised me most was how thin and easy to pair it was. It essentially looks and feels like an android tablet. You get everything you need out of the box to ensure you can pair it to most devices extremely simply. Pairing it was as simple as connecting the USB C to USB wire from the monitor to my laptop. I didn't need to use the charger provided at all. No additional setup or software was needed. I tweaked the color and brightness a bit from the settings on the monitor itself to more closely match the laptop, but aside from that, it was good.I wanted a touch monitor as it paired well with my touch screen experience I was already used to. It's great to be able to pinch to zoom and scroll with gestures. The folio/tent cover allows you to get your preferred viewing angle while also being a screen protector when not in use.

Meets all expectations. Lightweight but strong enoungh to be thrown into the sleeve in the backpack (along with its protective case). I turned up the brightness and all is very sharp and crisp. not lag.Am using just the single usb -c cable to connect. Power, Signal, and even Touch all on the one cable.I was worried Id need to use the deticated power cable as for other items such as small usb 'optionally/non powered/powered' usb home docking station I have .. the computer battery will slowly drain. but with this screen. after 2 hours and both screens turned up bright computer battery is at 100%.So far really happy with the purchase. arrived fast I will be a great asset when on the road or working at co-op desks.

My review is based on maybe that my expectations were too high or portable is a tricky word for this monitor... The size and weight are the only portability features that I can highlight. The first thing you expect is to have some autonomy from power energy, which is just not possible... But that's just the beginning, the distribution of ports is awful, you have the power port on a different side than for example HDMI port, why is that important? because you need to put your monitor side by side with your laptop (conventional monitors have a tall base, and you don't deal with this), but because of this distribution you need to keep them a little bit away, which is annoying and harmful for cables. The power energy cable is just the worst that the manufacturer could imagine, it is extremely short, so I invite the owner of this brand to think about connecting this monitor to power energy when you are going to a Starbucks, or even have it on a VESA mount. In conclusion, I bought it hoping this would kick me away from home, and frequent more coworkings, but I have it archived in my closet.

I use this monitor to work from anywhere but home. I’m fully remote and sometimes my home office isn’t the best place for me to write or so busy work. So this monitor lets me be productive and other environments. It’s especially awesome that it only takes one cord to use and your laptop will keep it charged. Just be careful to keep it in the case at all times. I think the screen is pretty fragile. The customer service has been pretty good too.

I find that with these portable monitors it's mostly about finding one that meets enough of your criteria at a decent enough price and honestly this one does it for me. The Resolution / Aspect Ratio is really nice. Apple and all the other big laptop companies are going 16/10 for a reason. Resolution at this size is also great. You really don't need the power drain of 4K at this size and it just adds extra cost. If I was to pick something about it I didn't like, the HDR performance is kind of mediocre and I don't believe i saw a VESA certification anyway but for the price I don't really think that's an issue, at least it has it. Also the colors are a bit warm so you might need to tweak that yourself but that's doable. It's a great all rounder for the price.

This portable monitor has been fantastic to use for the times im working from home. It's a great price and use compared to anything else in this price range and higher. It has built in speakers, a Full HMDI input, 2 USB c ports, a Volume knob and headphone jack.(take that iphone)As you can see from the pictures i've tested it out with various devices including my Steam deck (also shows its size to scale) My phone and a macbook air, all worked flawlessly with no issues, picture looks great and can be tuned in the monitor built in settings. The customer support has also been extremely positive so far and reaches out to you frequency to make sure you're satisfied

Update:So, after reading my review below, Uperfect contacted me about my experience with the product. By this time, I had returned both the original and the replacement monitors. They offered a replacement monitor of a different model, and I accepted it. Honestly this monitor is not perfect either, but it's better than the 17" display, and I am genuinely impressed with the lenghts this company is willing to go for customer satisfaction.I'm giving five stars for an excellent company who will stand by their product, and no stars for the actual product. My original review regarding the product is below:The colors are terrible. I thought I had a bad unit at first, got a replacement shipped in and the second monitor was identically terrible. The product quality is consistent. Consistently bad.In my attached picture, this monitor is on the top right corner. Notice that the color red looks way more yellow than it should. It's not just red that's affected either: Blue looks like light blue, while green is also more pale and yellow than it should be. With an advertised 100% sRGB color rating, this is not good. That said, if you're willing to overlook the screen, everything else is pretty good.

The power cord and adapter both stopped working after just 2 weeks. I have never had a cord or adapter break so soon. Not even close. I can use a cord and adapter from one of my other devices, so at least the monitor itself isn't useless now, but it's very annoying to have them tied up the whole time I'm using the montitor.

Very portable, stand does not take up too much desk space (important as a consultant in packed conference rooms), crisp display.

I purchased this in addition to two other 15.6 inch touch screens that I also bought from Newsoul. The 13.3 inch monitor is packaged nicely and comes with a variety of cables for your specific need (HDMI, USB-C, DP). The screen size serves a very niche market for those minimalist folks who want to save extra desk space, and it is very easy to carry around. The ports are set up on the side which made it very easy to insert. The customer service is extremely helpful. I received my adapter the next day from an additional request as I wanted to project my phone onto the screen. Overall I highly recommend this product. The quality of Newsoul products has never disappointed.

Having bought a handful of portable monitors from Amazon, this definitely seems to be the best bang for buck, and one of the very few that have a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is very helpful and ideal as a secondary work monitor. The extra height compared to a 16:9, although minimal, does make it that much better.Picture quality: 5/5Overall picture quality is very good. Given the screen size of 16", 2560x1600 makes content look really sharp and text appears clear and legible. Overall color accuracy is pretty good as well, although I would not be using this for any type of professional media editing. There's also basic picture adjustments available, such as brightness, contrast, backlight, etc, but I left them all at default. As far as brightness goes, this monitor can get fairly bright. In normal ambient room light, I keep the backlight turned to 10 (out of 50), and it is plenty bright already. In an office setting, I usually turn up backlight to around 30 or 40.And even though this is marketed as having HDR, this monitor does not get bright enough to take advantage of HDR. SDR is more than good enough with this monitor.Build quality: 4.5/5The monitor itself is very light and thus makes it very portable. The folder/portfolio case that it comes with is handy as well. I would hesitate carrying this around by itself, as it doesn't look like it withstand much stress. If pair with a laptop to provide it more rigidity in bag, it should be fine. The VESA mount option is also very useful.Note: my first unit that I received was defective, as it kept flickering upon turning on. However, customer support was very helpful and exchanged a new unit for me within a few days. The new monitor is working perfectly.Price: 5/5This monitor hits the sweet spot at ~$150, and between the 4 portable monitors I purchased on Amazon, it is probably the best quality monitor for the price. While there are slightly cheaper options, they're mostly lower resolution or smaller in size. And for the ones with similar specs, they're almost a full 50% more expensive for not much more features other than maybe higher frame rates. A lot of them are also not 16:10.Overall, I think this is a great monitor. Although I use it primarily for work, I would not hesitate to use it occasionally as a portable screen to watch some movies or play some games. I would highly recommend, and the customer support is great is well.

This 16" 2K Monitor is a great value and is feature rich. It includes a very versatile leatherette magnetic desktop case, east to use controls and a high quality image. A single toggle on the side gets you to all menu features and setting menus, very intuitive and fast settings.I like how light this is and how easily it is to connect. All the cables needed are included and the instructions do a good job outlining the settings and adjustments.Includes a nice 100mm VESA mounting holes on the back to allow any VESA bracket to be used.THe screen is bright, clear and has very good resolution. If there was a 6 star review I would rate it there.

I wanted to have a smaller work station at my dining room table so I can easily pack it up at the end of the day, so I bought this portable monitor, along with a keyboard and mouse and and stands for my monitor and laptop - all from Amazon.I don’t consider myself tech savvy, and I got it all out of the boxes and set up with my HP Elitebook in about 10-15 minutes. The monitor alone took a couple minutes. So easy. The monitor, is thin, light, great size and has a nice carrying case for travel. The color resolution is not the best, but good enough for my purposes. Speakers are nice if you need them.
