Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. is this a 7" or 15" monitor? The description says 15.6 but the screen size is listed as 7"? Which is it?

Audio was working through builtin speakers, but after adjusting the volume, it crackled and then no more audio. this is via hdmi on rpi4b. any ideas?

I did not have that problem. Been playing YouTube videos on mine. Check your HDMI cable, I have notice some are not made very well.

will this screen time out if my OS is left to never sleep? I ordered another screen that is turning off after 15 minutes

Hi, thanks for you contact. The monitor has only display functions. Generally, after connecting your computer, if your computer has been working, the monitor will also be working. Do you sell a protective case for the 7" touchscreen

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

Using the monitor with a desktop pc running windows 11. the touch function does not work. what do i need to do?

Does this work with DeX, specifically the touch interface?

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What is the environment temperature rating for this product?

Matte (anti-glare) or glossy (glare) screen?

What cable is required to power this monitor from a usb-c?

Hello, thanks for your question. Sorry, you cannot use the computer's USB C port to power the monitor. The 15.6" touch monitor does not have a USB A/C port. But we have specially equipped it with an AC/DC power adapter. If you lose or damage the power adapter, please contact our by email (support@newsoul.store), and send your order number, then we will send you a replacement.

Does this screen have a glass screen? Does anyone know the hardness of the screen?

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

The power cord and adapter both stopped working after just 2 weeks. I have never had a cord or adapter break so soon. Not even close. I can use a cord and adapter from one of my other devices, so at least the monitor itself isn't useless now, but it's very annoying to have them tied up the whole time I'm using the montitor.

On 6/15/22, I purchased this monitor as a 2nd screen for my MacBook Air. The screen was good for about 3 weeks, then I noticed a hairline crack, even though I didn't drop the screen. The crack got bigger over time; and ended up extending across the entire screen. I wrote a review about it; and immediately a rep from Newsoul contacted me and offered a replacement screen. I accepted and received the replacement screen around 7/30/22. Unfortunately almost immediately the screen started flashing lights. I tried different cables, but the flashing lights didn't disappear. Then less than 2 weeks after I receive the replacement, my screen went dark for no reason every 2-5 minutes. I would need to unplug/plug cable; or jiggle the screen to try to revive the screen. But the frequency and length of screen going dark is increasing, so most likely I don't expect the screen will last much longer.So in conclusion, although customer service is very responsive and helpful, I would not recommend this product due to quality issues.

Best laptop extra monitor I have found at a decent price. The colors and brightness of this display are excellent. Setup was a breeze, completely up and running in 10 minutes. Lots of menu options and straight forward connections that make setup and use a easy task. I took this with me to work off site at Starbucks and had more comments then I expected. I probably helped sell a few of these just in this one visit. The pictures do not do it justice, my iphone camera is great but the ambient light was a struggle to get a true quality picture.

I work an office job that requires travel from time to time and I always found it to be very hard to be productive without my home 34 inch ultra wide monitor. While this is not quite as big, it’s the best thing I could ask for when I travel. It is compact, the feel of it is premium, it is light and packs away unnoticeable in my backpack. Being able to display and power the monitor using a single usb-c cable is great—I bought a mini 3 inch usb-c to usb-c cable connector which leaves virtually no cable tangling in your workspace. The brightness is far brighter than I had with other portable screens and the i enjoyed the breath of the other settings too (including a blue light reducer!) I also enjoy the screen cover—since it’s magnetically attached to the back of the monitor, you can move it up or down to reposition the monitor an additional 20-40 degrees. Lastly, the pen hole is surprisingly handy—I had my doubts that a single pen would be able to hold up the monitor, but it works like a charm!

The monitor works very well. I initially could not connect it via the USB-C ports. Their customer service was outstanding and determined that my computer was not Thunderbolt 3 compatible, which it needs to be to utilize the USB-C port. However, I am connecting it via HDMI and the monitor works perfectly. It is light weight, portable, has good color, and the smart case is very nice. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and recommend it as a great portable monitor.

This is a fabulous portable monitor that works perfect with a MacBook 16" M1 Max. Keep in mind that you have to power it and then send the power through the monitor to the computer. I tried to go power->Computer->Monitor and the brightness would only go to 85 before shutting itself off. Run Power->Monitor->Computer and it runs great.I did end up returning it but not because I didn't want to keep it. Unfortunately I have a hardside computer luggage that holds 4 computers and it was just too large to fit :-(Still, highly recommended.

I bought this monitor to go with my Raspberry Pi. You need a fully functioning screen to go with this card-deck sized computer. The monitor is HDMI-res and comes with a full array of cables. I particularly like the USB to USB-C cable for power. You need to find a power source, it feeds off USB power from your computer. Another appendage is the HDMI cable (mini HDMI on the monitor side) to full HDMI for the computer side. Monitor comes with a really cool wire-frame monitor stand that can position the screen at various angles. Handy to carry along. I'd rate this a buy.

What i loved most about this product is its vesa compatibility. I was able to mount it side by side with my four dell tablets. The picture quality is also great, its crisp and colorful. The item comes with all the cables you need plus if your connecting it to your mobile, it also charges your phone, so no need to worry about having low battery. This portable monitor has been fantastic to use for the times im working from home. It's a great price and use compared to anything else in this price range and higher.It has built in speakers, a Full HMDI input, 2 USB c ports, a Volume knob and headphone jack.(take that iphone)As you can see from the pictures i've tested it out with various devices including my Steam deck (also shows its size to scale) My phone and a macbook air, all worked flawlessly with no issues, picture looks great and can be tuned in the monitor built in settings.The customer support has also been extremely positive so far and reaches out to you frequency to make sure you're satisfied

My review is based on maybe that my expectations were too high or portable is a tricky word for this monitor... The size and weight are the only portability features that I can highlight.The first thing you expect is to have some autonomy from power energy, which is just not possible... But that's just the beginning, the distribution of ports is awful, you have the power port on a different side than for example HDMI port, why is that important? because you need to put your monitor side by side with your laptop (conventional monitors have a tall base, and you don't deal with this), but because of this distribution you need to keep them a little bit away, which is annoying and harmful for cables.The power energy cable is just the worst that the manufacturer could imagine, it is extremely short, so I invite the owner of this brand to think about connecting this monitor to power energy when you are going to a Starbucks, or even have it on a VESA mount.In conclusion, I bought it hoping this would kick me away from home, and frequent more coworkings, but I have it archived in my closet.

I use this for general programming in conjunction with full size monitors. It makes work easier with a smaller monitor that can be put away or off to the side when not in use. Absolutely great resolution and screen quality.

This monitor was exactly what I was looking for. I love the 2560x1600 resolution. Color is good and audio is okay. Customer service is great! I had a few questions and they were able to respond in a timely manner. The monitor also comes with a magnetic case that is also a stand. I use this primarily as a second screen to my laptop but I did try to connect to my mobile devices and it works also. It’s got all the connections I need and I don’t have to connect it to an external power supply.

I wanted to have a smaller work station at my dining room table so I can easily pack it up at the end of the day, so I bought this portable monitor, along with a keyboard and mouse and and stands for my monitor and laptop - all from Amazon.I don’t consider myself tech savvy, and I got it all out of the boxes and set up with my HP Elitebook in about 10-15 minutes. The monitor alone took a couple minutes. So easy.The monitor, is thin, light, great size and has a nice carrying case for travel. The color resolution is not the best, but good enough for my purposes. Speakers are nice if you need them.

The monitor is honestly kind of a steal considering the quality. It does everything it advertises but at a relatively fair price. One slight issue I had was its compatibility with 3rd party vesa monitor arm, but the customer service was really quick and efficient and resolved the issue in the end. Highly recommend.

It worked great the first few times I used it. The screen looked great and the touch feature was accurate. The last time I was using it I went to adjust the stand on the back. I was adjusting it to portrait and rotating the stand when a menu popped up on the screen. I think it said HDMI, USB-C and USB. Next thing I know the screen went blue and said No Signal. That's all I get now. I've tried pressing the one button and playing with the jog wheel with no way to recreate the menu. My computer still recognizes it as plugged in and shows it as an additional monitor, I just can't actually use it. The only web site I find is an unfinished WordPress theme, so no actual tech support. I now have a very expensive brick.
