Will brightness settings be saved when the monitor is completely disconnected and then reconnected again or do you have to set them every time it is p

Hi Eric, thanks for contacting us! As this monitor is 2k with 500 nits brightness, please add an extra power supply for the monitor, in that way you can save the brightness. My phone is HUAWEI MATE 30 PRO, its battery is very big and can save brightness settings via only one usb c to usb c cable. Hope you can understand. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

will this screen time out if my OS is left to never sleep? I ordered another screen that is turning off after 15 minutes

Hi, thanks for you contact. The monitor has only display functions. Generally, after connecting your computer, if your computer has been working, the monitor will also be working. It is recommended that you RESET the monitor in the OSD menu. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact our email (support@newsoul.store). At your service anytime.

Hi Edward, thanks for contacting us! The monitor has an 3.5mm headphone port and 2 speakers. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you have any more questions.

can i use drawing stylus pen for this monitor?

Depends on the stylus... It is a Touchscreen but not all stylus are tuned to screen sensor. You'll need to experiment. Stylus needs to mimick electrical properties of fingers. Samsung stylus are Samsung specific. Generic spongy flanged tips may work due to capacitive coupling properties that closely resemble human skin elec properties

Using the monitor with a desktop pc running windows 11. the touch function does not work. what do i need to do?

Hi Mstock, thanks for contacting us! Please kindly use the touch cable connect the monitor to your PC directly, in that way the touch function will work. Please feel free to contact us via support@newsoul.store if you still have problems.

Does this work with DeX, specifically the touch interface?

This is not a touch screen monitor

does it support pressure level sensing stylus pen? please help.. if it does, which pen is compatibie?

The monitor is capative touch screen. The pen is electronic conductive. So the pressure level sensing stylus pen doesn't work.

I want to mount this in my car dashboard what are the temperature ranges for this?

Don’t do it unless you plan to remove it out. It is a screen that will get warm over time and in direct sun you will probably eventually damage it.

What is the environment temperature rating for this product?

Hello, thanks for your question. Generally, operating temperature of the monitor is: 0 ~ 50 °C; the storage temperature is: -20 ~ 60 °C. If you have any other questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

Matte (anti-glare) or glossy (glare) screen?

Hello, thanks for your question. The touchscreen portable monitor 15.6" is glossy screen. Adjust the color temperature to 6500 in the OSD menu, and the screen can be anti-glare. If you have any questions, you also can contact us by email (support@newsoul.store).

What cable is required to power this monitor from a usb-c?

Hello, thanks for your question. Sorry, you cannot use the computer's USB C port to power the monitor. The 15.6" touch monitor does not have a USB A/C port. But we have specially equipped it with an AC/DC power adapter. If you lose or damage the power adapter, please contact our by email (support@newsoul.store), and send your order number, then we will send you a replacement.

Was this supposed to come with a stand? I am having serious difficult using the touchscreen without the monitor falling over.

Mine came with a back cover that can be used but if you push too hard will fall so I purchased a separate tablet stand so that it doesn't fall down and cost less than $20.

I travel a lot for both work and leisure, and also work remote from both my own home and from my family's home so I've always used various travel monitors. Travel monitors over the years have gotten so much better and cheaper (started with a Lenovo 720p 14" over a decade ago), and I regularly kept upgrading since they're so handy to have. My last travel monitor (an Asus) broke due to my clumsiness so I was in the market for a new one. I was just going to buy another Asus when I noticed they have 17.3" travel monitor... which was extremely expensive because it was a ROG series gaming monitor (240hz, 3ms, other fancy features). I mainly just wanted something for work but the idea of having such a nice, large display for a travel monitor was temping. I almost pulled the trigger when I noticed a lot of off-brand 17.3" travel monitors which were plenty for what I needed (17.3" and 1080p) and I ultimately settled on this one.Initially, I was kind of surprised that there's no brand logo on it (and only noticed after received it that the stock pictures are the same- no brand logo) but honestly, I find that a plus because it's a sleek and clean design. I plugged it in, Windows recognized it immediately AFTER I used the right cable (there is both a USB C power/video cable and then a USB C power only cable) and into the right slow (again, there's a slot just for power and a slot for power/video input). My work laptop (Lenovo T480s) kept disconnecting it every now and then for a few seconds before reconnecting- I wasn't sure why but after I plugged in the additional cable for power, it stopped disconnecting. I figure it was my work laptop could not sufficiency power it so to test the theory, I tried it with my personal laptop (Lenovo Legion 6 Gen 5) and it worked fine with just the single video/power cable; I did not need the additional power cable. Overall, I'm very happy with the monitor for work. Visually, productivity software looks nice and clean on it, and playing some HD video, it was smooth, bright and with vibrant colors.I did not try it with anything else (HDMI) or try the other ports (micro-USB/headphone jack). It does have built in speakers, which is nice and they work decently well but aren't super loud.Just for fun, I had my Switch near by and decided to see if I could just plug the USB C cable to my Nintendo Switch and... nothing. So I plugged in the power cable and it worked! What a nice surprise, you can use this to play the Switch, just like you would a regular docked TV, as long as you can also feed it from a power supply. Metroid Dread looked and sounded good, I didn't notice any input lag or anything. Not sure if it works with all Switch models but I have the OLED model, I imagine it would work with the standard Switch too since the OLED Switch works with the standard Switch dock (Lite users are SOL). Bonus note: it even worked when I used my Anker battery bank to power it!Also included was a USB wall plug and a fold-around case, which doubled as the stand. The case/stand doesn't seem like it's going to be super protective nor does it really function as a great stand (can't angle it to anything other than the standard 45-degree angle). The case stand is probably my only knock on the product. It is VESA compatible too, which seems kind of pointless for a travel monitor but... yeah.

I'm a big fan of portable monitors, they are great for traveling or camping, I also use them with my mini PC to maintain a small footprint. This monitor is very light at about 4 lbs and has a very vibrant screen. It comes with a case/stand that attaches magnetically, USB power supply and cable along with hdmi cables. One nice feature is it has VESA screw holes on the back so you can mount it on a stand, just be aware as it's very light so you have to use a monitor stand that doesn't have a minimum weight limit as many are spring loaded. The case doubles as a stand and has 2 indents to hold the monitor at different angles. One thing that isn't very obvious is you can press the volume rocker on the side to enter the setup menu where there is a load of settings you can tweak if you desire. I set mine to Vivid mode to get more vibrant colors, there is also a gaming and movie mode.I hooked it up to my Switch and the games display very nicely, the sound isn't too bad as well, you can't expect big sound from the small built-in speakers. I would recommend pairing a Bluetooth speaker or headphones anyway to get much better sound. When you are done the monitor quickly packs up and is easily transportable. Would be a great complement as a 2nd screen to a laptop or even a desktop PC. I'll most likely use it to play games and watch movies on the go. I would definitely recommend this monitor as it combines a great lightweight display at an affordable price.

I bought this monitor to go with my Raspberry Pi. You need a fully functioning screen to go with this card-deck sized computer. The monitor is HDMI-res and comes with a full array of cables. I particularly like the USB to USB-C cable for power. You need to find a power source, it feeds off USB power from your computer. Another appendage is the HDMI cable (mini HDMI on the monitor side) to full HDMI for the computer side. Monitor comes with a really cool wire-frame monitor stand that can position the screen at various angles. Handy to carry along. I'd rate this a buy.

This is a great little monitor, I’m using it mainly with my Switch and the video quality is amazing. I’m getting no input lag and that’s a must for me when it comes to gaming. Built in speakers have good audio but I play with headphones plugged in through the audio jack. It folds shut into a protective cover which is a nice plus for traveling. If you’re in the market for a cheap portable monitor that’s great for gaming, look no further.

Pros:perfect size for portability without being to small.Comes with cords to connect several different types of devicesSeems pretty tough.Cons:Needs more selection of port types this only has 2 usb c and one mini hd slot (needs some older connection ports as well like hdmi and maybe usb 3.0. This change Would make it where I don’t have to change out my cord arsenal, or buy another adapter, just to use the thing.Screen cover/protector/case is pointless. And the instructions on how to use it are poorly written.Update: after a little further testing of this product I found it to have exceptional sound quality and it even has a built in kickstand for horizontal orientation. Furthermore, it also includes a cable adapter from hdmi to mini hd.Overall, great device and I would recommend it to a friend.

Working great. The picture quality it is crisp and clear. The quality of the screen is nice for a 5 sensitive points but looks fragile just take care when you carry with you.The brightness is good for indoor for outdoor not too much because the screen is glossy. The volume is low but ok, I use the 3.5mm jack to connect my headphones or speakers. The Colorful Flowing Atmosphere Lights are very low I don't see the difference if is on or off :PBeen using for a month with my S10+ in mirror mode and Dex mode both working great, tested with a laptop and the touch is working. The only downside was the HDMI cable didn't work for me (used another one) and that only have 1 OTG USB port. I use wired mouse, keyboard and controller because I'm using it for gaming so I bought a USB HUB and its working great.

The monitor has been great to use whether I am at a coffee shop needing a second screen. It’s great when I’m at work, but I want to go outside and work. It’s very easy to use, and the brand gives you plenty of cables to use. Highly recommend!

This is the second NewSoul monitor I have purchased. The first is still going strong after 2 years of pretty frequent use. Would purchase again.

Received today. Nice crisp display. Easily connects to devices. Would be nice if the cables were about a foot longer, but otherwise seems to be a great product.

Not all portable monitors have vesa mounting holes. Which was important for us when setting up a home office. It’s super light and easy to plug in to a laptop real quick. Text is crisp and the screen is pretty bright. Seems durable, and I put it in a old laptop case when I’m moving it around. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

This has been a boon for my article and website reading. I use this monitor for reading PDFs and websites while I use my notebook screen for typing notes. The touchscreen is a bonus.

For the value and what it offers, I think it is pretty good. The build quality is very good. If you are looking for a simple monitor that you can connect to your laptop for work or school, this one is the one you should choose.

The 16:10 monitor is a dying breed, and the few that are on the market suck because the 2560x1600 resolution is being stretched across a 30 inch screen. Smaller = better DPIHowever, mid-2022 is a game changer with the new 16 inch screen that popped up. There is also a 13.3 inch cousin if you want something more tablet-like.I personally got Newsoul's version, instead of uPerfect's. Both companies sold the same monitor, but the hardware was a bit different.Pros1) Newsoul used a fullsized HDMI 2.0 port (uPerfect used a mini-HDMI)2) 188 dpi = nice screen3) comes with 75x75 vesa mount holes4) super light (under 2 pounds)Cons1) the speakers suck because the sound comes out from one side only2) lacks displayport3) says it's a 10-bit color screen, but my PC's GPU tells me it's 8-bit. I suspect the monitor uses FRC, but I'm not sure how you can check for that feature4) doesn't come with vesa screws. It says they use m4 x 4mm screws, but those don't exist, so I contacted Newsoul about it, and they said use 6mm length screws.5) the lightweight screen makes it impossible to use with gas-spring monitor armsOverall, the screen is nice, and I have two for a dual-monitor setup (still working on that), and I plan to get a third for a laptop-like PC I'm planning to build next.

On 6/15/22, I purchased this monitor as a 2nd screen for my MacBook Air. The screen was good for about 3 weeks, then I noticed a hairline crack, even though I didn't drop the screen. The crack got bigger over time; and ended up extending across the entire screen. I wrote a review about it; and immediately a rep from Newsoul contacted me and offered a replacement screen. I accepted and received the replacement screen around 7/30/22. Unfortunately almost immediately the screen started flashing lights. I tried different cables, but the flashing lights didn't disappear. Then less than 2 weeks after I receive the replacement, my screen went dark for no reason every 2-5 minutes. I would need to unplug/plug cable; or jiggle the screen to try to revive the screen. But the frequency and length of screen going dark is increasing, so most likely I don't expect the screen will last much longer. So in conclusion, although customer service is very responsive and helpful, I would not recommend this product due to quality issues.

There’s a lot of options for portable monitors. I have searched over 20 different brands and I found it is the best for value/features. The interface has buttons on the side to control settings and volume. This is more intuitive than the scroll wheel button used in other models. Sound is mediocre, I can play retro games on it, but for movies, then I recommend using external speakers. There is no logo with non-sensical English, which makes my desk setup more professional looking. The frame feels solid and gives a premium feel. The VESA has 4 holes to mount, other brands has only 2. The picture quality is within specifications of a 1080p monitor, so within my expectations.

This monitor is amazing. Just what i needed for my extended work from home situation. I like the portability of the monitor, so, I can move this around the house when I work in different spots. Customer service is amazing. I had an issue with previous monitor (could have been damaged during delivery), the CS took care of the replacement right away without hassle.

Needed a case to protect a portable monitor. Protects the screen when the monitor is in your laptop bag.

This portable monitor has been fantastic to use for the times im working from home. It's a great price and use compared to anything else in this price range and higher. It has built in speakers, a Full HMDI input, 2 USB c ports, a Volume knob and headphone jack.(take that iphone)As you can see from the pictures i've tested it out with various devices including my Steam deck (also shows its size to scale) My phone and a macbook air, all worked flawlessly with no issues, picture looks great and can be tuned in the monitor built in settings. The customer support has also been extremely positive so far and reaches out to you frequency to make sure you're satisfied
